Pompeii, Herculaneum and Mt. Vesuvius

One of our English Speaking drivers will meet you outside the cruise ship terminal ,Hotel or Train Station holding a Sign up with your name on and He will escorts you to your private vehicle for this great excursion! The day will start with a drive from your accomodation, during which time your driver will share information about your tour. Together you will plan your day and after about 40/60 (according to the traffic) minutes of driving, arrive at ruins of Pompeii. This famous archaeological site is part of an ancient Roman city destroyed and buried by the eruption of the volcano Vesuvius in 79 A.D. You will be captivated as you see first hand the remnants of the ancient Roman life that came to a halting end in 79 A.D. You can explore the area with a professionally licensed and local guide for 2/3 hours!!! Lunch at some point of the day is always a good idea, and your driver will take care of you, suggesting restaurants or different options After Pompei, we will then drive up Mt. Vesuvius, one of the largest active volcanoes in Europe. We will drive up to 1200 meters, where we will park and you can then climb for about 30 minutes to arrive at the top. Once there, you can admire the crater and the panoramic views of the Bay of Naples and surrounding areas — well worth the climb! Following this hiking adventure, we will drive to Herculaneum where you will visit this beautiful small Ancient Roman summer resort with artworks, private collections of Paitings founding during the excavation before heading back to your Accomodation.
